Surana Radio House

Surana Radio House has its shop on the 1St Floor of the Janardhan Building. You can find us at B-9 on Grant Road, which is always a hive of activity. Being in this part of town means there is a lot of foot traffic and people coming in and out all day long. We deal with radios and various electronic bits and pieces. It’s the kind of place where you might find an older model or a specific part that’s hard to track down elsewhere. The shelves are pretty full and it might look a bit cluttered to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is kept. Working on Grant Road means we see all sorts of people looking for gadgets or repairs. The Janardhan Building is an older structure, so it has that lived-in feel which we quite like. We don't spend money on big ads; we just keep the doors open and help whoever walks up the stairs. Some days are spent mostly tinkering with wires and testing out speakers. It’s a hands-on job and can get a bit dusty with all the old equipment around. We’ve been here long enough that most of the neighbors know us. It’s a steady rhythm of work, from opening up in the morning until we lock up the shutters at night. No corporate stuff here, just a local radio house doing what it does from our spot in Janardhan Building.
