About Institute Of Indian Interior Designers – Education in Mumbai
We are located at No 109 in the Sumer Kendra building. It’s right on Pandurang Budhkar Marg in the Worli area. Being in Worli means we are right in the middle of a lot of action. The building itself is a busy place with people coming and going all the time. Our space at the Institute of Indian Interior Designers is where we handle the memberships and the various events we organize. It isn't a showroom or a fancy gallery. It's mostly desks, papers, and people talking on phones. We have many files to keep track of. Sometimes the traffic on Pandurang Budhkar Marg is so loud we have to shut the windows, but the view of the city is still there. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. It’s really just about coordinating between different people in the design field. Some of the staff have been here for years and know exactly which folder is where. We have coffee together in the mornings before the phone starts ringing too much. It feels like a small community inside a very large city. People drop by to ask questions or drop off paperwork. We try to be helpful without making a big fuss about it. It’s a practical office for a practical purpose. Working in Sumer Kendra has its own rhythm, and we have grown used to it over time.
