We are based in the C.G. Business Center, right on the third floor. The building is at 131 Zaveri Bazar, which everyone knows is a very crowded part of town. Being near Mumbadevi means there are always crowds and a lot of noise from the street below. We can hear the bells and the traffic even from the third floor. Our office is where we handle all the import and export paperwork. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and making phone calls to check on where things are in transit. The elevator in the building is often busy, so we end up taking the stairs more than we’d like. Zaveri Bazar is a place where everyone is moving fast, and we are just one small part of that. We’ve got files stacked up and maps on the wall to keep track of everything. It’s not a fancy office with leather chairs or anything like that. It’s a practical space where we get things done. We usually have lunch together at our desks when things are busy. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a relief in the middle of the day. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other people in the building. It’s a hectic life but it keeps us on our toes. We don't really have a lot of space for extra people, so we just stick to our small group and keep things moving as best as we can without making too much of a fuss.
