If you walk down Masjid Bunder Road, you’ll find us right opposite Pramod Mansion. Being so close to the Masjid Bunder railway station means it’s always loud and crowded around here. Our office is tucked into the 83/85 building. It’s a busy place with people coming in and out to check on their goods or drop off papers. We’ve got desks piled with manifests and logs because transport involves a lot of tracking. The walls are lined with old calendars and maps of the routes between here and the north. It’s dusty work, and there’s always the smell of diesel and tea in the air. We don’t have air conditioning, just some old ceiling fans that have been spinning for years. The chairs are a bit worn out from all the drivers and loaders sitting down to take a break. We spend most of our time on the phone or shouting over the noise of the traffic outside. It isn't a fancy corporate office with glass walls. It’s a functional space where we handle the logistics of moving things from one place to another. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and we know all the tea stalls and loaders on this stretch of the road. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do every single day without much fuss. We just keep the trucks moving and the paperwork filed until the sun goes down.
