The Indian Speciality Chemical Manufacturers Association is based in Dadar West, specifically at Bole Smruti. It’s on Suryavanshi Kshatriya Sabhagriha Marg, just off the main Veer Savarkar Marg. If you know Dadar, you know it's the heart of the city and always packed. Our office is a bit of a hub for people in the chemical trade. We spend a lot of time on the phone or answering emails from different manufacturers. It’s not a factory; it’s more of a meeting place and a spot for administrative work. The building has that old Mumbai feel to it. We have meetings around an old wooden table that’s probably seen better years. There are stacks of industry journals and papers everywhere. It’s a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. We don't really do the whole corporate branding thing. We’re just here to help out the members and keep things moving in the industry. The staff here is small, and we’ve all been together for a while. You get used to the sounds of the street and the rain during the monsoon hitting the windows. It’s a practical place to work. We just show up, do what needs doing for the chemical folks, and then head back into the Dadar crowds at the end of the day. It’s a simple routine we’ve had for years.
