We set up the Indian Institute Of Jewellers Ltd over in Mahalaxmi, specifically in the 4th Main Block. It is a decent area, and we have been here long enough that the neighbors know us by name. We are not some big, faceless company. We are just people who like making things with our hands. The classrooms are filled with tools and sketches. It can get a bit messy with metal scraps and bits of wax everywhere, but that is how a real workshop looks. We teach people how to design and make jewelry from scratch. It is not something you can learn from a book alone; you have to actually touch the materials. We spend a lot of time sitting at the benches. The lighting is bright because you cannot see the small details without it. We do not use much fancy language here. We just show you how to solder a joint or set a stone properly. Some days are long, especially when a project is not going right and we have to start over again. It is just a part of the process. Being in Mahalaxmi is convenient for a lot of our students since the transport is okay. We are not trying to be the biggest school around, just a place where you can learn a solid skill. The coffee machine in the corner is usually running all day.
