Indian Institute For Training

The Indian Institute For Training is based at 40, Bismillah Building. We are up on the 3rd floor. This is in Dadar West, which everyone knows is one of the busiest parts of Mumbai. We are right opposite the Dadar railway station, so the noise from the trains and the crowds is something we hear all day long. Getting up to the third floor can be a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. The building is an old one but it has character. Inside the classrooms, we have simple tables and chairs for the students. It is not a luxury setup by any means. We focus more on the teaching than the decor. The walls are a bit plain and the lighting is just standard tube lights. During the break times, the hallways get quite loud with everyone talking at once. We have a small office area where we handle the admissions and paperwork. Most of our students come by train since the station is so close. Dadar is a great place to be because you can get here from anywhere in the city. We’ve been in the Bismillah Building for a good number of years. It’s a busy environment where people come to learn and then head back into the rush of the station. It feels like a real part of the local community here.
