Working on the 14th floor of the Indiabulls Finance Centre gives you a pretty good view of Elphinstone West, though we don’t always have time to look out the window. It’s a big, tall building on Senapati Bapat Marg, and it feels a world away from the busy streets below once the elevator doors close. We’re mostly focused on transactions and the technical side of finance. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and making sure the data flows where it’s supposed to. The office is busy, especially in the mornings when everyone is rushing in from the station. Elphinstone is always a hub of activity, and being right in the middle of it means we’re never bored. We don't have a lot of corporate slogans hanging around. We just have a job to do. Sometimes the power flickers or the internet slows down, and we all just have to wait it out or find a workaround. It’s a professional space, but we keep it pretty grounded. We eat our lunch together and talk about the commute or the weekend plans. The building is modern, sure, but the work is still about the basics of keeping services running. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the 14th floor has become a second home for most of us.
