Iit Bombay

Iit Bombay is where we spend our days. Specifically, you can find us at Hostel 9, in Room 250. This is right in the middle of the Powai area of Mumbai, zip code 400076. It’s a student-heavy area, as you can imagine. Room 250 isn't the biggest space in the world, but it’s where everything happens for us. Living and working out of a hostel room means things stay pretty simple. We don't have a lobby or a receptionist. If the door is open, we’re probably inside working on something. Mumbai is a fast city, but Powai has its own little atmosphere because of the hills and the lake nearby. We’ve got our computers set up and some books piled around. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when a few people are in here talking. We don’t have fancy office furniture, just what was already in the room. We don’t really do marketing or have a sales team. We just focus on what’s right in front of us. Most of the time, the hallways of Hostel 9 are noisy with people going back and forth, but we’re used to the background hum by now. It’s an honest way to work. We know the neighbors and we know the local shops where we get our chai. It’s just our little corner of Mumbai. Room 250 might just be one room, but it’s the center of our world for now.
