Iess India Engineering Sourcing Show

We are usually found working around the Bombay Exhibition Centre when the Iess India Engineering Sourcing Show is getting ready. It’s a huge place and honestly, it takes a lot of walking just to get from one end to the other. Most days, we are just busy moving boxes or checking that everything is where it should be before people start arriving. The floors are hard and our feet usually ache by the end of the shift. It’s not a fancy job, just a lot of logistics and making sure the show has what it needs. Sometimes the air conditioning is too cold and other times it’s not enough, but that is just how it goes in a big hall like this. We have been doing this for a while now and you get used to the noise of hammers and people shouting instructions. It is definitely not a quiet office job. We don’t have much time for breaks when things are starting up. You just drink your tea quickly and get back to it. The Bombay Exhibition Centre is a landmark in the area so it is easy to find, which helps when we have new people joining the crew. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the engineering stuff is handled properly. There are always small problems to fix, like a light not working or a sign being crooked. We just take it one day at a time and keep moving.
