People traveling on the Padra Jambusar Highway often stop by Idea Gallery, especially since we are located right in Dabhasa at 320/3. It’s a busy stretch of road and we see a lot of different faces every day. We also have ties back to Lower Parel, which is a bit of a distance, but that is how our business grew over time. The shop is right where the trucks rumble past, so there is always a bit of vibration in the floor. We deal with various things here, mostly stuff that people need when they are on the move or working in the local area. It’s not a fancy gallery like the name might suggest to some, just a practical space where we keep our stock and talk to our customers. The sun can be really brutal on the highway, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down in the afternoon to stay cool. We’ve got a small fridge for cold water, which is a lifesaver in the summer months. Most of the folks who come in are regulars from the nearby factories or drivers who need something quickly. We don't spend much on advertising or anything like that. Word of mouth usually brings people to our door. It’s a straightforward way to run a business. We just open up in the morning, do what needs doing, and head home once the traffic dies down a bit.
