Our place is Unit No. 11 inside the Ravi Industrial Estate. It’s off Mahakali Caves Road in Andheri East. If you know the area, you know it’s always packed with people and vehicles. The industrial estate is a bit of a maze, but we’ve been in this unit for a long time. It’s a noisy environment most of the time because we have machines running and people moving heavy boxes around. The floor is usually covered with bits of scrap or dust, which is just how a packaging place ends up looking by midday. We don't have a fancy showroom. We just have our workspace and a small corner with a couple of chairs for when guests stop by. It’s hot in the summer and the fans just move the warm air around, but we are used to it. Everyone here knows their job and we don’t spend much time talking unless it’s about a specific order. We use a lot of tape and cardboard every single day. The Mahakali Caves Road traffic is something we have to plan our deliveries around, otherwise, nothing gets out on time. It’s a practical, no-nonsense shop where we focus on getting the packaging right. There’s no corporate fluff here, just a bunch of people working in an industrial unit until the shift ends. We like the work we do and we keep our heads down and stay busy.
