Hume High School Junior College

Hume High School Junior College is right in the thick of things at Mumbai Central. Our address is 337, Sir J J Road. If you know Mumbai, you know this area is constantly humming with activity. There are taxis honking and people rushing to the station at all hours. Our building is an old one, and it has that classic Mumbai feel to it with high ceilings and thick walls. We have both high school students and those in junior college. It makes for a very busy atmosphere. The hallways are always full during the class changes. We don't have a lot of extra space for fancy labs or big lounges. Every bit of the building is used for something. The students usually hang out on the steps or near the gate during their free time. It’s a bit of a climb to the upper floors, but it keeps everyone active. We don't have a big PR team to write about our history. We just know that we've been here for a long time and many generations of families have passed through these doors. The teachers are used to the noise from the street and can talk over the traffic without even thinking about it. It’s a gritty, real place that reflects the city around it. We don't offer any luxuries, just a place to study and get through the syllabus in the middle of a very busy city.
