Hukka N Tikka Restaurant

Our place is at Shop No 1486/188 inside Aliraza Castle. It’s on Sir J J Marg in Byculla. If you know the Sir J J Police Station, we are basically right opposite that. Mumbai is always moving, and Byculla is no different. The traffic on the road outside can be pretty intense at times, especially during the evening rush. We’ve been here at Aliraza Castle for a while now. It’s a solid building and our shop is easy to spot once you are in the area. We do a lot of tikkas and other food that people in this part of town seem to like. The kitchen is small but we make it work. Most of the time, it’s just the sound of the pans and the chatter from the street coming in through the door. We don’t try to be something we aren't. It’s just a local restaurant for people who are hungry and want something decent to eat. Being across from the police station means there are always people around, so it feels safe even late at night. We spend our days prepping meat and vegetables and making sure the grill is ready. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. Byculla is a mix of all kinds of people, and we see most of them at some point. It’s a regular life here on Sir J J Marg, just serving food and keeping things moving. Every day we just handle the orders as they come.
