Hotel Vakratunda

Hotel Vakratunda is tucked away in Byrappa Layout 3, over in Ghatkopar West. It is more of a local eatery than what people usually think of when they hear the word hotel. We have got a kitchen that stays pretty warm throughout the day. We start the stoves early and get the big pots going. The layout of the place is simple, with just enough tables for the neighborhood crowd. We do not have fancy waiters or linen cloths. It is more about the food being ready on time. We spend a lot of our day in the back, prepping ingredients and making sure everything is clean. The street outside is usually quiet in the mornings, but it picks up as the day goes on. We get a lot of people who live nearby or work in the local shops. It is a tight-knit community here in Byrappa Layout. We do not really change the menu much because people like what they like. Sometimes we run out of things toward the end of the shift, and that is just how it goes. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy cooking to worry about that right now. It is a basic spot for a quick meal. We just do our best to keep the customers fed and the kitchen running smoothly without any unnecessary drama or fancy talk.
