Hotel Tirumala Classic

Started the hotel in Mumbai because we had the space. It's usually busy. People come from the train station looking for a place to sleep. We spend a lot of time changing sheets and checking people in. Mumbai is a loud city, so you hear the cars all night. It’s just how it is here. My brother helps me with the front desk sometimes. We try to keep things clean. It’s not fancy. Just a building with rooms. Some days are slow, then suddenly five people show up at once. The lobby isn't very big, so it gets crowded. I've lived in Mumbai my whole life, and this hotel is just our way of making a living. We don't have a big staff, just a few guys who have worked with us for years. They know the routine. We wake up early to get everything ready for the breakfast time, even if we just serve tea and some basic stuff. The street outside is always under some kind of construction. You get used to the dust after a while. Most people just stay a night or two while they finish their work in the city. We don't have any big signs or anything. People just find us by walking down the block. The room keys are old-fashioned metal ones. It’s a simple life running a place like Hotel Tirumala Classic. We just do the work and go home.
