Hotel Shree Devi

We’ve been here in Andheri East on Mahakali Caves Road for a good while now. It’s a busy part of town, especially with all the offices and people heading to the caves nearby. The hotel is just a regular place where people stay when they have work in Mumbai. Every morning, I start by checking the registers and seeing who's checking out. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic, but inside we try to keep things moving. We spend a lot of time making sure the rooms are ready because guests usually arrive tired from the airport. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or a light bulb needs changing, but that’s just how it goes with an old building. We don’t have fancy stuff here, just clean beds and a place to wash up. Most of the folks who come through are here for business or just need a cheap spot for the night. I usually stand by the front desk and chat with the regulars. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the cleaning and the laundry every single day. The Mahakali area has changed a lot over the years, more cars and more noise, but we’re still here doing our thing. It isn't always perfect, but we get the job done. We just want people to have a place to sleep without too much trouble or fuss.
