Hotel Shiv Punjab

We've been at Mala Building for a while now. Saat Rasta is a busy place, especially with the railway station and the racecourse nearby. People come in from Jacob Circle all day long. It's not fancy here. We just have tables and chairs and some fans running. You can hear the traffic outside constantly. Most folks who stop by are working in Mahalaxmi or just passing through. It gets crowded during lunch. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long. The building is old but it stays cool enough. We don't spend much time on decorations. It's mostly about getting a meal and moving on with your day. Sometimes the street gets flooded if it rains too hard in Mumbai. We just mop it up and keep going. It is what it is. A lot of the regular customers have been coming here for years. They know where everything is and don't even need to look at a menu. We know their faces too. It's just a regular spot in a busy part of town. Nothing more to it. You find us right there at the circle. It’s a bit noisy because of the traffic signals but that’s just how Mahalaxmi life is. We usually have the radio on in the background, but you can barely hear it over the sound of the taxis and trucks outside. We're just here to serve whoever walks in.
