Hotel Saryu

Hotel Saryu is right at the junction of S V Road and P M Road. If you know this part of the city, you know how hectic it can get. The noise from the trains and the cars never really stops, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. Our building is a bit older, and it sits right on the corner. We don’t have a lot of space, so everything is a bit tight, but we make it work. Most of our guests are people who have business in the suburbs or are just staying for a night before moving on. We spend a lot of time at the front desk watching the street and talking to the people who walk by. It’s not a fancy hotel with a pool or a gym. We just have rooms with beds and fans, and maybe a small TV if the signal is working that day. We do the cleaning ourselves most of the time because it’s hard to find good help who will show up on time. The plumbing is old, so we have to keep an eye on that constantly. It’s a lot of small tasks that fill up our day. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words. We just want to provide a spot where someone can put their bags down and sleep for a few hours before getting back into the Mumbai traffic.
