Hotel Nagina

Hotel Nagina is situated at 53 Dr. B.A. Road in Byculla. We are right near Victoria Garden, which most people know as the zoo these days. Being in this part of Mumbai means there is never a moment of true silence. The traffic on B.A. Road is something else, but we’ve been here so long that we don't even notice the horns anymore. The hotel is an old-fashioned place, nothing like those glass buildings you see in the newer parts of the city. We have high ceilings and thick walls that have seen a lot of years. I’m usually here making sure the laundry is done and the hallway lights are working. We get a lot of families who are visiting the gardens or people who have business at the markets nearby. It’s a bit of a maze around here, but once you find number 53, you’re set. We don't use any fancy language to describe ourselves. We’re just a budget hotel in Byculla where you can stay without spending a fortune. It’s hard work keeping an old building going, and there is always something that needs a bit of paint or a new lightbulb. We just keep at it, day after day, and try to be helpful to whoever walks in. It’s just a normal life for us, running this place in a city that never stops moving or making noise.
