Hotel Kaveri

You can find Hotel Kaveri over in Bhandup West at the Sonapur area, right on LBS Marg. It’s a busy location because LBS Marg is always packed with trucks and cars. We get a lot of people stopping in because they are tired from the commute or just need a break. The fans are always spinning to keep the air moving, but it still gets warm when the lunch crowd arrives. I’m usually at the front or helping out in the kitchen when things get backed up. The furniture is a bit older, and the floor shows some wear and tear from all the feet walking over it every day. We serve basic meals that fill you up without any fuss. It’s not a place for a fancy date, but it’s good for a quick bite. I spend a lot of time checking the inventory and making sure we have enough rice and dal for the day. The noise from the street never really stops, so you get used to the sound of horns while you eat. We have our regulars who come in for their tea and a snack every afternoon. It’s a simple business, and we don’t try to make it more than it is. Some days are stressful when the staff is short, but we just keep going. It’s a real, local spot for anyone passing through Bhandup. We just do our work and go home.
