Hotel Horizon is situated in the Khar West area of Mumbai. We are located right at the corner where 13th Road meets up with 19th Road, inside the Ashirwad building. Being in Khar, it is always a bit hectic outside the doors. There are cars honking and people everywhere at almost any hour of the day or night. This part of Mumbai, with the 400 052 zip code, is a popular spot, so we see a lot of different people coming through. The building isn't brand new, it has that old Mumbai character that you see in this neighborhood. We have been operating from this corner for a good amount of time. Both the office and the hotel parts are managed together from the same spot. It is a tight space because that is just how Mumbai is, every square inch of the city counts for something. We spend our days dealing with the usual city problems like parking issues and the water supply, but we are used to it by now. The staff here is mostly local guys who have been working in this area for many years. We don't have a big corporate feel at all. It is more like a local landmark for the people who live around 13th Road. We just keep our heads down and do the daily work of running the place. It is not always easy with the heavy Mumbai rain and the summer heat, but we stay open and keep things moving as best as we can.
