Hotel Dariya Kinara

Hotel Dariya Kinara is located out in the Gorai area near Pondawadi. To get to us, you usually take the road from Borivali West and pass the Sawant Wadi bus stop. We are on the way to Uttan, so we are a bit removed from the main noise of Mumbai. This is why people like coming here, especially on the weekends when they want to see the water and get some fresh air. The hotel is a basic building that we have looked after for many years. Because we are near the coast, the air can be quite salty, so we are always painting or fixing things that get worn out. We don’t have a big staff of waiters or anything. It is mostly us cooking the meals and making sure the guests have what they need. We serve simple food that we eat ourselves. It is a quiet place during the week, but on Saturdays, it gets a bit more lively with families visiting. We have a few rooms that are nothing fancy but they are comfortable enough for a short stay. We like to sit outside in the evenings when the breeze comes in. It is a very different life than being in the middle of the city. We just want to provide a honest place where people can relax for a day or two without any fuss.
