We are located on the 5th floor of the hotel building right by the Mumbai Airport. It’s a very specific kind of place to work because everything revolves around flight schedules. You can hear the planes taking off and landing all day and night. It never really gets quiet here in 400099. Most of the people coming through are tired from long flights or have a long way still to go. They usually have a lot of heavy luggage and just want to sit down for a minute. Working on the 5th floor means we spend a lot of time waiting for the elevators or carrying things up and down. We don't have the big flashy signs you see on the main road. It’s more of a functional space for people who need to stay near the terminal. I spend a lot of time checking clocks and making sure guests don't miss their wake-up calls. The rooms are standard, nothing too special, but we make sure the sheets are changed and there’s soap in the bathroom. It’s a bit of a maze in this building sometimes, but we know our way around. There isn't a lot of natural light in some of the corridors, but that’s just how the building was made. We just keep things moving, serving coffee and checking people in at odd hours of the night.
