Hotel Comfortinn Heritage

Our building is on Sant Savta Marg, right across from Gloria Church in Byculla East. It’s an old part of the city, and you can hear the church bells and the traffic from the main road mixing together. We’ve been operating here for a while. The rooms are what you’d expect in an older Mumbai building—not huge, but they do the job. We spend a lot of time dealing with the humidity and keeping the walls looking okay. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of history in the bricks. You can see people going to work early in the morning from our front windows. We don't have a fancy lobby with marble everywhere. It’s mostly just tile and some old wooden furniture we’ve had for years. The staff knows most of the regulars by name. Sometimes the plumbing is a bit temperamental because of the age of the pipes, but we get it fixed as soon as we can. We try to keep the noise down, but Byculla is never really quiet. It’s a lived-in place. We focus on the basics like clean sheets and making sure the lights work. There isn't any big sign with flashing lights, just our name on the wall. It’s a simple operation where we just try to get through the daily work of running a guest house.
