Hotel Adarsh

Hotel Adarsh is located right on Purshottamdas H. Purohit Marg, which most people just call the area near Kalbadevi Road. It’s right in the middle of everything in Mumbai 400002. If you’ve ever walked down these streets, you know how crowded it gets with the markets and the shoppers. Our place is tucked in there among all the other shops and buildings. It’s an old area, so the streets are narrow and there’s always someone shouting or a cart moving past. We start our day pretty early before the sun gets too high. There is a lot of sweeping to do because of all the people walking by. The building itself has been here for a long time. It’s got that old Mumbai feel where everything is a bit cramped but somehow it all works out. We don’t spend much time on decorations or anything like that. We just focus on keeping the place tidy for whoever walks through the door. Some days it’s very loud outside with the traffic on Kalbadevi Road, but once you step inside, it’s a bit different. We see a lot of people who work in the nearby markets. They just want a place to sit for a minute. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but Purshottamdas H. Purohit Marg stays pretty much the same. It’s just a busy, honest street and we are just one part of it.
