Hoop Crafts

Our workshop, Hoop Crafts, is on the first floor of Devid Chawl. If you know the Ambe Wadi area near the Eastern Express Highway in Malad (East), you’ve probably been close to us. Being near the highway is handy for getting things delivered, though the traffic can be a real headache sometimes. The space itself isn't very large, but we make it work for the crafting we do. We’ve got benches set up and tools everywhere. It’s a bit dusty and loud when we’re in the middle of a project, but that’s just how it goes with this kind of work. We aren't trying to be a high-end studio. It’s a practical place where we spend our hours making things by hand. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, drinking tea and trying to get everything finished. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of materials coming in, but we managed to stay organized enough to find what we need. We’ve been in Malad for a while and like being part of the local scene here. It’s a no-nonsense kind of setup. We just focus on the craft and try to do a decent job every day. No one here wears a suit; we’re usually in old clothes that can get dirty. That’s just the way we like to work. It’s been a long journey from when we first started, but we are still here, doing our thing.
