Holy Spirit Hospital

If you go down Mahakali Road in Andheri, you will find our hospital building. It’s a large place with a lot of different departments spread out over the floors. We have an entrance where the ambulances pull up and a separate one for people just coming for a checkup. The hallways are usually full of people and staff moving fast. It’s never really quiet here, even in the middle of the night. We have wards for people who need to stay over and a lab for blood tests. The canteen is small but serves decent tea and snacks for the relatives who are waiting. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the Andheri area over the years, but we’ve stayed right here. The stairs are well-worn from all the people going up and down. Sometimes the elevators are slow, so everyone just takes the steps. We have a lot of doctors who have been with us for a long time. They know the routine and the patients. It’s a lot of paperwork and making sure everything is in its place. We don't have much time for sitting around. There is always someone needing something or a phone ringing at the front desk. We just do our best to keep up with the demand of the neighborhood. It is a constant cycle of people coming and going.
