Hindustan Colour & Chemical Industries

Hindustan Colour & Chemical Industries has been around for a long time. Our shop is at Building Number 76 in Navrangpura, right at the C.P. Tank area. It’s a very busy spot, especially being opposite the Madhav Baug Temple. We hear the temple bells throughout the day, which is quite nice actually. We deal with all sorts of chemicals and dyes. The building we are in is quite old and has a lot of character, even if the walls could use a bit of fresh paint. We have large drums and containers stored in the back, and the front area is where we talk to people and take orders. It’s a bit of a traditional setup, with heavy wooden ledgers and a lot of manual work. We don’t have a website or a social media page because we’ve never really felt the need for one. People know where we are and what we sell. The heat in the summer can be a bit much since we don’t have central air, just a few old ceiling fans that buzz all day. We have a couple of helpers who have been with us for years, and they know the stock better than anyone. We just try to get the orders right and keep things moving. It’s not a glamorous business, but it’s what we’ve always done. We show up, open the heavy shutters, and get to work for the day.
