Hindu Ja Hospital

This hospital is located in Mumbai 9, right near where everyone knows the Hindu Ja Hospital is. It’s a busy part of town and finding a place to park a bike is almost impossible most days. Inside, the air feels heavy like it always does in Mumbai near the coast. We have a lot of people coming in from the nearby neighborhoods. The waiting area has these rows of metal chairs that get pretty uncomfortable if you stay too long, but they are easy to wash. We have a lot of windows but they stay shut to keep the street noise down a little bit. You can still hear the traffic though. It’s a constant hum in the background of everything we do. The staff here are just local people who have been around for years. We know which floor gets the most sun in the afternoon and which rooms stay cool. It’s not a place with a lot of polished marble or fancy art. It’s just a hospital with white walls and a lot of people trying to get better. Sometimes we run out of forms and have to go find a working copier in the next building over. It’s just how things go here. We try to keep it moving and help whoever shows up at the desk. It’s a bit of a grind, but it is honest work in a busy city.
