We are Hermes Freight Pvt Ltd. We have been in Fort Prospect Chambers for quite some time now. It is right across from Thomas Cook, so most people find us pretty easily. Our office is in room 410/4. It is not a very big space but it works for us. Mostly we deal with boxes and shipments. The phones ring a lot and there is always someone coming in with a delivery note. Fort is always noisy and crowded, which is just how things are here. We spend a lot of time on the computer or talking to drivers. It gets hot in the afternoons but we have a fan that helps a bit. We started small and stayed that way because it is easier to handle things ourselves. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow so we take the stairs if we are in a hurry. We don't have fancy furniture or a big lobby. There are just desks and stacks of paperwork. Dealing with freight means things can get messy with all the tracking and timing, but we just get on with it every morning. It’s a decent place to work and we know the tea stall guy downstairs well. We don't do much advertising. Most of our work comes from people who already know us or just walk in because they saw our name on the board outside. That is basically our day here.
