Hemanti Chemical Corporation is tucked away in Santacruz West at B/46 in Acharat Baug. If you’ve ever walked down Phirozsha St, you know how busy it gets around here during the day. Our office isn't one of those fancy glass buildings. It’s a plain, functional spot where we spend most of our time dealing with chemical orders and plenty of paperwork. Dealing with chemicals isn't glamorous at all. Most days it is just us talking to people who need specific materials for their workshops or small local businesses. The office space isn't big, so things can get a bit cluttered with files and ledgers. Santacruz West gets really crowded in the evenings when everyone is heading back to the station. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the phone just won’t stop ringing and we have to multitask. People often come by asking for things we might not have right on the shelf, so we spend a lot of time calling around to other suppliers to find what they need. It is mostly just a few of us trying to get the orders right. Sometimes the tea guy from around the corner comes in twice because we forgot we already had some ten minutes ago. It’s that kind of place. Not much to look at from the outside, just a regular door in the building. We know most of the neighbors now. The traffic on the street can be a total nightmare during the monsoon months, but we've lived through enough of them to be used to it.
