Hemani Transport

Being on the 4th floor of a building in Vidhyavihar West gives us a bit of a view of the street below. Our office is A/419 and we spend most of the day looking out toward Nilkhant Kingdom across the way. It’s a transport business so the phones never really stop ringing even when we are trying to eat lunch. Most of the work is just tracking where the trucks are and making sure the drivers are okay. We have a couple of old chairs for people to sit in while they wait for their paperwork to be finished. The elevator in this building is slow and sometimes it gets stuck, so I end up taking the stairs more than I’d like. It’s quiet up here compared to the noise on the ground floor but we still hear the horns from the main road. We keep a big map on the wall with some pins in it, though most of it is just in our heads now. There is always a stack of logbooks on the main table that needs to be sorted through. My desk is covered in sticky notes with phone numbers and plate numbers scribbled on them. It’s not the most organized looking place but we know where everything is. We just try to get the loads from one side of the city to the other without too many problems or delays.
