We are located over at A/6 in the Minerva Estate. If you know the Sewri area, specifically Bunder Road, you know it’s a very active part of the city with a lot of history. Hemani Aromatics has been tucked away in this corner for a bit. Being so close to the port means there’s always a lot of movement and noise right outside our doors. You can hear the heavy trucks and the ship horns moving things around all day and night. Inside our unit, things are a little different but still busy. We try to stay organized, but with so many boxes coming in and going out, the floor gets cluttered pretty fast. We deal with all sorts of materials every day. The air inside the unit always has a very specific scent to it, which I suppose is just part of the job. Most of the guys working here have been together for a long time. We don't really have a formal way of doing things; we just know who is responsible for what task. Sometimes the power goes out in the estate for an hour, and we just sit outside on the steps until it comes back on. It’s an old building, so it has plenty of quirks, like the way the windows rattle when a big trailer passes by on the road. We spend most of our time packing or checking the inventory lists on our clipboards for the day.
