Poonam Corporation

Tardeo is a busy place, and being at B-306 in the Gokuldham Building means dealing with the Mumbai rush every single day. Poonam Corporation isn't a very large operation. We have a few desks squeezed into the room on Sane Guruji Marg. The building itself is quite old and the lift sometimes has a mind of its own, so many of us just take the stairs. Outside, you can hear the constant honking of taxis and the general noise of the city. We have stacks of files reaching up to the ceiling because there isn't much storage space. It gets quite humid during the monsoon, and we often have to keep the windows shut to stop the rain from coming in. We spend our hours mostly doing paperwork or talking to people over the phone. Lunch is usually something quick from a tiffin or a local stall nearby. There’s a small fan that wobbles a lot but it keeps the air moving. We’ve been in this spot for years, and we know all the other shopkeepers in the area. It’s not a glamorous office with glass walls, just a practical space where we handle our business. People often get lost finding B-306, so we tell them to look for the landmark near the corner. It's a bit cramped, but we've managed to make it work for a long time now without much trouble.
