We are located at 305, Udyog Mandir No. 1. It’s an old building on Pitamber Lane in Mahim. If you’ve been to Mahim, you know how the lanes can be. Waghulde Screens has been here for a while, and the place definitely has that old-school vibe. There’s always the smell of ink and cleaning fluids in the air. We work on the third floor, so there’s a lot of carrying stuff up and down when the lift is acting up, which is fairly often. The space is filled with screens of all sizes and drying racks that take up most of the room. We don't have much of a reception area, just a desk near the entrance covered in samples and invoices. It’s usually quite busy with the sound of the frames being handled. Sometimes the trains passing by nearby make the windows rattle a little bit. We’ve got a few people working here who have been with us for years. We know the neighbors in Udyog Mandir well, and we often share tea from the stall downstairs. It’s a bit cramped, and you have to watch your step so you don't trip over a bucket. The light in here isn't great, but we have some big lamps for the detailed work. It’s just a regular workshop where we spend our eight or nine hours a day making sure the prints look right before they leave Mahim.
