Harsh Medical General Stores

We are located at Shop No 1 in the Bachhu Sadan Chawl. It is right there in Ghatkopar West, near the Aranyeshwar Wadi Market Yard. If you have ever been to the Dhobi Ghat nearby, you know it is a very busy part of town. Our store is small but we cram a lot into the shelves. We have medicines on one side and all the general stuff like soaps and toothpaste on the other. It gets pretty dusty with the market right there, so I spend a good chunk of my morning just wiping down the counters. We open early because people heading to work often need something on their way out. The chawl life is close-knit, so I hear all the local news while I am counting out tablets or bagging up some supplies. It is not a fancy pharmacy with bright lights and uniforms. I usually just wear my regular clothes and keep a fan running to beat the heat. Sometimes the delivery guys struggle to find a place to park their bikes because the street is so narrow. We just make it work. Customers come in with their prescriptions, and we chat while I look for what they need. It is a simple life, being part of the market rhythm. We do not have a website or anything like that; people just know we are here at the corner of the chawl, ready to help whenever they need a band-aid or their monthly pills.
