Hari Om Collection

Hari Om Collection is located at number 5 on Marine Street in Bhandup West. We are right near the ICICI Bank, so that’s usually how people find us if they are lost. The Dhobi Talao area is quite crowded, and there is always a bit of dust and noise from the road. Our shop is just a regular local store. We don't have fancy window displays or big neon signs. We mostly just put our stock out where people can see it. Most days are spent unpacking boxes and putting things on the shelves. It’s a lot of physical work, but it keeps us busy. The shop gets a bit cramped when more than three or four people are inside at the same time. We know the staff at the bank and the other shopkeepers on the street quite well. We often share a snack or some tea in the afternoon when things quiet down for a bit. We don't really have a grand plan or a corporate strategy. We just try to make sure we have what the local residents need at a fair price. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little near the front door during the heavy monsoons, so we have to keep some rags handy. It’s not a perfect place, but it’s ours. We’ve been here long enough that we feel like a permanent part of Marine Street. We just keep going, day after day, serving the people who walk by.
