Handsomes India

You can find us at 76/86 Old Hanuman Lane, inside Laxmi Bhavan on Kalbadevi Road. This part of the city is always crowded and the traffic can be a real headache, but it’s where we’ve always been. Handsomes India operates out of this old building and it has a lot of character, even if the stairs are a bit steep. We spend most of our time dealing with clothes and fabrics, mostly for men who want something that fits right. The lane outside is full of people selling all kinds of things and the smell of street food is always there. Inside our space, it’s a bit quieter but there’s still the sound of the fans whirring. We keep our stock piled up on wooden racks and we try to keep it organized, though it gets messy when we're busy. It's an old-school way of doing business, meeting people face to face and showing them what we have. We don't have a fancy website or a lot of bells and whistles. We just focus on the shirts and trousers and whatever else is on the table that day. The light in Laxmi Bhavan isn't the best in the evening, so we have some extra lamps around the cutting table. It’s a tight space but it works for what we do. We’ve been here long enough that the tea seller knows exactly how we like our chai.
