Guru Nanak Community College

If you know Mumbai, you know how crowded it gets around Sion. Guru Nanak Community College is situated inside the Guru Nanak College of Art, Science and Commerce at G.T.B Nagar. The full address is Gtb Nagar Sion, Mumbai - 400022. It’s right in the middle of all that noise and energy. You have the trains running nearby and the constant hum of traffic from the main roads. The building is quite tall and has that typical Mumbai look with lots of windows and a bit of wear from the monsoon rain. People are always in a hurry here. We see students coming from all over the suburbs, jumping off buses and walking fast to make it to their desks. The corridors can get a bit narrow when everyone is moving between classes, but we manage. In the office, we’re usually buried under some files or answering questions from people who just walked in off the street. It’s a very urban setting. There isn't much green space around, just concrete and the city life happening all at once. We have a small canteen where the smell of vadapav usually drifts through the air around noon. It’s a busy, functional place where everyone is just trying to get through their to-do list for the day. It feels very much like a part of the GTB Nagar community, and we see the same faces every single morning.
