If you find yourself on Akurli Road in Kandivli East, you’ll see our building, the Growel Corporate. We’re Grauer And Weil India Pvt Ltd. It’s a big space and there’s always a lot of movement. Security at the gate is usually busy checking vehicles in. We’ve been based in this part of Mumbai for years. People know us for the chemicals and plating stuff we handle. Inside, it’s mostly desks and people on phones or computers, plus the warehouse side of things. It gets loud sometimes when shipments arrive. The area around us has changed a lot over the years with more buildings popping up, but we’re still right here. We don't really do the whole corporate jargon thing even though the building says corporate on it. It’s just work. We show up, deal with the day’s tasks, and head home. Sometimes the lift acts up, and the coffee in the canteen is just okay, but we get through the day. Our staff is a mix of older guys who know everything and younger ones just starting out. We don’t have any big speeches about what we do. We just make sure the products get where they need to go. It’s a lot of logistics and paperwork mostly. If you’re coming to visit, watch out for the traffic near the station; it’s always a bit of a nightmare during rush hour. It takes patience to work here, but we manage just fine.
