Between the fans running and the tanks being managed, there is a constant background noise. Most of the work happens in the back where the actual production is. We spend our time checking batches and making sure the supplies are moving along. Kandivli has changed a lot around us over the decades, with more residential buildings popping up, but we are still here doing our thing on Akurli Road. Lunchtime is usually when everyone sits together and talks about the local news or the latest cricket score. It is just a regular workplace with regular people trying to get through the daily list of tasks. We do our work, pack things up, and do it all again the next morning.
