Our company is called Grassland Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are located over at Chikhalthan in Rahuri. You can find us at Anil Kakde’s place. Ahmadnagar is where we all live and work. It's a dry area sometimes, but we make do with what we have. The office is pretty basic, just some files and a computer that works when it wants to. We spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors about their land and what they’re growing. Grassland is a name we liked, so we stuck with it. We don't have any big goals written on the walls. We just want to get through the day and make sure the farming stuff is handled. Rahuri is a good place to be if you’re into agriculture. The dust gets on everything in the summer, but you get used to it. We don't spend money on marketing or anything like that. People know who we are just by word of mouth. It’s a small community and news travels fast anyway. We’re just a bunch of regular people working together. There’s nothing corporate about us. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
