Grand Hyatt Mumbai. is located in Room No. 101 of Martin Parera Chawl. It is in the Jarimari area. This is right on the Kurla Andheri Road and the traffic is the main thing you notice. It never seems to stop. Buses, autos, and big trucks are always passing by the front. The noise is quite something and you get used to it after a few months. The chawl is a tight space with many families. We know every single person living in this lane. Kids play in the corridor in the evenings and we have to be careful when we step out of our door. Inside our room, we have a small desk and a shelf for our registers. The walls are a light blue color that is fading now. The ceiling fan is very loud but it works well enough to keep us cool. Jarimari is a crowded area but it is convenient. It is close to the airport too. You can see the planes flying very low over the roofs. The whole room shakes a little bit when the big ones go over. We do not mind it anymore. It is just how life is in this part of Mumbai. We get our water twice a day and have to fill up the drums quickly. We do not have a big sign outside. People who need us usually know where to find Room 101.
