Govind Ashram Hotel

Govind Ashram Hotel is located at 241 Girgaon in the Keshav Bhavan building. We are right across from Mangal Wadi. This is an old part of Mumbai, and you can feel that when you walk around the neighborhood. Our hotel is a very simple place to stay. We do not have the fancy things you see in the big hotels in the newer parts of the city. We don't have a gym or a swimming pool. What we have are basic rooms for people who need a place to sleep while they are in Mumbai for work or to visit relatives. Each room has a bed, a table, and a fan. The building is old, so we are always doing some kind of small repair to keep things working. I spend most of my day at the small desk near the entrance. We still use a big paper book to write down the names of our guests instead of a computer. The street outside is always very busy with people selling things and cars honking their horns. It can be quite loud, but that is just how Girgaon is. We don't have a restaurant inside the hotel, but there are many small stalls nearby where you can get tea and snacks. Most of our guests have been coming to us for years and they know exactly what to expect. It is a very humble and honest way to run a business.
