Gori Chemical Works

Gori Chemical Works is tucked away at number 10 in the Kanjimanji Estate. We’re on Hill No.- 2, near the Jwala Muki Mandir in Ghatkopar West. It’s a steep climb up the hill, but the view of the city is alright from up here. We’ve been in this estate for a long time. We mix up various chemical solutions for different local trades. It's not a massive factory, just a few rooms with vats and containers. The smell of chemicals is something you get used to after a few days. My grandfather started this business, and it’s been in the family ever since. We still use some of the old methods he taught us. The neighborhood has gotten a lot more crowded over the years. We have to be careful with how we handle everything because of the houses nearby. We don't have a big sales team. Most of our orders come from people who have been buying from us for decades. They know our location near the temple and just stop by. We keep our records in big handwritten ledgers. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We just focus on getting the mixtures right and making sure our regulars are satisfied. It's what we know how to do. Some days are slow, but usually, there's always a batch of something to be prepared. We take our time to do it properly.
