N. R. Engineering Works

You can find us in Goregaon East, tucked away in the Ram Mandir Industrial Estate. It’s a bit of a maze back here, but we are at unit 3/1. The whole estate is always humming with the sound of different workshops running at once. In our corner, N. R. Engineering Works is mostly about the machines. There is always the smell of cutting oil and the sound of metal being turned or milled. It’s a small space, so we have to be careful about where we put everything. We handle different engineering jobs as they come in. Some days it is just small parts, other days we are working on something more complicated that takes up most of the workbench. The walls are stained with a bit of grease, which is pretty much expected in this line of work. Goregaon gets very busy, especially around the Ram Mandir station area, so getting parts delivered can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. We just focus on the drawings and making sure the cuts are right. It’s honest work that leaves your hands dirty at the end of the shift. We’ve got a few old machines that still run better than the new ones, and we keep them well-maintained. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day in and day out, right here in the industrial estate. There is no corporate lobby here, just metal and tools and hard work.
