Matoshri Surgicals is tucked away in the Sri Sai Industrial Estate on Film City Road. We are in unit 2-C on the first floor. It’s near Ashok Farmhouse and behind that Golden Gate Restaurant. It’s not the easiest place to find if you’re just driving by, so most people have to look for the landmarks first. Being in an industrial estate means things are always moving—trucks coming in, people loading boxes. Our space is practical and focused on storage and distribution of surgical items. We don’t have a fancy front desk or a lobby. It’s mostly just shelves and packing areas. We spend a lot of our day checking orders and making sure the right supplies go to the right hospitals. Goregaon East has become a big hub, so it’s a good place for us to be based. The noise from the film studios and the traffic on Film City Road is just part of the background. We’ve been here for some time now, and we’ve gotten to know the other business owners in the estate. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We are just a local supplier trying to stay on top of things. It’s hard work and the hours can be long, but we’re happy with how things are going so far.
