Golden Transport Service

Our shop is number nine in the Bahari Building, right in the middle of the Sewri Laxmi Market area. Golden Transport Service has been operating out of this spot for a good while. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets near Cotton Green Station. There are always people moving goods and trucks trying to navigate the narrow lanes around the market. We spend most of our time on the phone or talking to drivers who come in to check their schedules. The office is small and usually has a few ledgers lying open on the table. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a map of the routes we use. The noise from the station is constant, but you stop hearing it after a few weeks. Sometimes we have to step out into the market to help sort out a delivery or talk to one of the loaders. It's not a desk job where you sit still all day. There is always some problem to solve or a truck that is running late. The market has its own energy, especially in the early mornings when the goods start arriving. We eat our lunch right here at the desk most days because there is always something happening. It is a bit chaotic, but that is just how the transport business is in this part of town. We just keep moving.
