Gokuldas Tejpal Hospital

Gokuldas Tejpal Hospital is situated right near the Police Commissioners Office on Lokmanya Tilak Marg, down in the Fort area. It’s a historic part of the city, and our building definitely reflects that old-world style. Being so close to the G. P. O. and the Fort area means there is always a lot of noise and movement right outside our doors. Inside, we try to maintain some order, though it can get quite crowded with patients coming from all over. We handle a lot of different medical needs here. It’s a government-run feel in many ways, with long corridors and high ceilings. We don't have time for a lot of fluff; we just get to work. The staff is used to the fast pace of the Fort district. You’ll see people waiting in line for registrations or walking quickly to the different wards. We’ve been a part of this community for generations, and many people have stories about being born here or having their relatives treated in these rooms. The location on Lokmanya Tilak Marg is easy to find, even if the traffic makes it a challenge to get here sometimes. We just keep the lights on and do what needs to be done for the public. It’s a big, busy place with a lot of history in the walls, and we just try to keep it running smoothly day after day.
